We Bare Bears Wins MOIGE Prize In Italy
Cartoon Network’s We Bare Bears has won a MOIGE Prize in Italy. MOIGE (Italian acronym: Movimento Italiano Genitori, In English: Italian Parents Movement) is a children’s protection organisation ran by parents who often highlight forms of media that relates to issues involving children and young people. We Bare Bears won the award at MOIGE’s “Un Anno di Zapping – guida critica ai programmi televisivi della stagione 2016 – 2017” (In English: A year of zapping – critical guide to television programs of the 2016-2017 season) awards ceremony at the la sala della Regina (Queen’s Hall) at the Camera dei Deputati (Chamber of Deputies, Italy’s lower house parliament) in Rome on 22nd July.
We Bare Bears won an award because the show relates to the behaviour of teenagers and kids in a technological world where people are increasingly using social media to communicate, while the three main characters Grizzy, Panda and Ice Bear try to fit into human society in the real world.
New episodes of We Bare Bears will air on Cartoon Network Italy from Monday 10th July, airing Monday to Friday at 8.40am.
