New Show Transformers: Cyberverse Premieres On Cartoon Network USA On 1st September 2018

The popular 1980’s toy and media franchise from Hasbro – Transformers is back for another animated series. The new animated series is called “Transformers: Cyberverse” and it will premiere on the Cartoon Network USA television channel on Saturday 1st September at 6.30am ET/PT. Cartoon Network app users will be able to watch the first episode of the brand new show from next Monday, with new episodes added every Friday.

Transformers: Cyberverse features robot character designs inspired by the original designs from the 1980’s, the show follows the scrappy yellow Autobot – Bumblebee who’s on an important mission but he has to recover his past memories on Cybertron as his memory chips are damaged. Only by restoring his memory, Bumblebee will figure out his purpose is on Earth, meanwhile the Decepticons are tracking him down.

In the new show, Jeremy Levy is voicing Bumblebee, and Jake Tillman is voicing Optimus Prime. Ryan Andes is voicing Grimlock, while Sophia Isabella is Windblade, who is helping Bumblebee unlock his damaged memory bank. For the Decepticons, Marc Thompson voices Megatron, Billy Bob Thompson is Starscream, Ryan Andes also voices Shockwave, and Deanna McGovern is Shadowstriker.

Turner France has released news that a Toonami channel will launch in France on Thursday 11th February. The channel had successful launches in the Asia-Pacific region, including India, Thailand as well as the pan-Southeast Asia feed. The UK had a version of the same channel (also formally known as CNX) until it closed in 2007 it was replaced with Cartoonito as well as a 24 hour Cartoon Network Too service. The Asian versions of Toonami currently air Batman, Superman, Transformers, Justice League, Inazuma Eleven Go and Dragon Ball Z.

Years after we left the Autobots in “Transformers Prime” Bumblebee is summoned by Optimus Prime to save Earth from a new faction of Decepticons. Bumblebee assembles a rogue team of young Autobots including a Cool Rebel ‘Bad Boy’, an Elite Guard Cadet, a Bombastic Dinobot and a hyperactive Mini-Con to chase and capture their new enemies. Each new Bot is a fully capable action hero, but relatively inexperienced in working together in a team. Thus Bumblebee finds himself needing to be equal parts squad leader and coach. Every episode is packed full of action, adventure and comedy as Team Bumblebee strive to complete their new mission.
