Toya Delazy Voices Fourth Powerpuff Girl In African Version Of The Powerpuff Girls

Today (07/09/2017), it was announced that South African singer, pianist, dancer and performer – Toya Delazy has been announced as the voice of the fourth Powerpuff Girl in the sub-Saharan African version of The Powerpuff Girls. The five-part TV special which will feature the new character – “Power Of Four” will air on Cartoon Network Africa on Saturday 21st October at 7.05am CAT. According to unclear sources such as Channel24 and TV With Thinus, it implies that Toya will be voicing the fourth character in the international English version rather than just Africa however this seems unlikely because:

1. No press outside South Africa has reported that Toya will be voicing the fourth Powerpuff Girl.

2. The statement by Jaime Ondarza – The Senior Vice President of Turner Southern Europe and Africa says that we will find out more in October, the five part special airs in the United States next Sunday (17th September), obviously we will find out more about the new Powerpuff Girl before then.

3. No official statement from Cartoon Network USA or from another English-language version (UK, Australia etc.) of Cartoon Network.

4. Toya Delazy sung and produced the African Powerpuff Girls theme song, the theme is exclusive to Africa, this could be the same for the voice of the fourth Powerpuff Girl too, it’s been known before in English language dubs, an example is Jane Horrocks voicing the role of Queen Eleanor (instead of Wendi McLendon-Covey) in the UK variant of Long Live The Royals. Australia also has their own version of The Powerpuff Girls theme song too.

Also, I want to make a point about the new Powerpuff Girl, I’m fully aware about a certain leak circulating around on the internet months ago, but I won’t publish anything until Cartoon Network themselves has made an announcement.

Fourth Powerpuff Girl To Be Revealed In A Five-Part The Powerpuff Girls Special On Cartoon Network USA

Next Sunday (17th September) at 5.30pm ET/PT, Cartoon Network USA will airing a five-part special of The Powerpuff Girls called the “Power Of Four”. In the special, a fourth member of The Powerpuff Girls will be introduced, so far Cartoon Network in the United States has posted pictures of the character’s silhouette on social media with only the outline of the new character shown. Judging from the silhouette, at least it’s possible to tell that the new character will have the same character model as Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup. Apart from the fact that the new special is centred on the new character, information about the special’s plot is yet to be disclosed. Who knows who the new super-powered crime-fighter could be?

This isn’t the first time The Powerpuff Girls had a fourth member, fans who watched the original series may remember Bunny from the episode “Twisted Sister”, but due to her unstableness which was caused by being made with the wrong ingredients, she sadly died at the end of the episode. Another example is the episode “Knock It Off” where there were thousands of mass-produced Powerpuff Girls that were defective, but they weren’t officially part of the group. Princess Morbucks doesn’t count as she was rejected for being a jealous spoilt rich kid and for causing more harm than good.
