Cartoon Network UK Once Upon An Ooo Wins People’s Lovie Award
Cartoon Network UK’s interactive Adventure Time microsite – “Once Upon An Ooo” has won an People’s Lovie Award in the TV category, beating the “60 Years of The Eurovision Song Contest” website and among others to win the public vote. The interactive site is an “Choose Your Own Adventure” inspired interactive story game that enables the player to explore the different regions of the Land of Ooo as seen in the show, the way the interactive story progresses is based on the player’s decisions. Once Upon An Ooo also won a Bronze Award judged by The Lovie Awards’ Jury – a panel of people ranging from newspaper writers to tech entrepreneurs.
The award winning website was developed as a collaboration between Cartoon Network and creative interactive marketing agency – We Love Digital. The Lovie Awards celebrates and recognises the technical, interactive and aesthetic achievements of the web development industry across Europe. The Lovie Awards are the European equivalent to The Webby Awards in the United States, both awards are organised and presented by IADAS (International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences).
