Cartoon Network And Adult Swim Annie Awards 2019 Nominations
Today (3rd December), ASIFA-Hollywood has released their nominations list for the 46th annual Annie Awards which will be held on Saturday 2nd February 2019, at Royce Hall at UCLA in Los Angeles. The Annie Awards is an annual awards ceremony to honor exceptional animated productions and also honor individuals who have made significant contributions to the art of animation, an Annie Award is a highly regarded accolade for excellence in the field of animation.
Cartoon Network Studios’ sci-fi animated show – Ben 10 has received a nomination in the “Outstanding Achievement for Storyboarding in an Animated Television/Broadcast Production” category, specifically for the storyboarding work by Will Patrick. In the “Outstanding Achievement for Writing in an Animated Television/Broadcast Production”, Cartoon Network Studios has received two nominations, one for Craig of the Creek and the other for We Bare Bears. For the Craig of the Creek nomination, Matt Burnett (show creator), Ben Levin (show creator), Shauna McGarry, Jeff Trammell and Tiffany Ford have been specifically listed for their scriptwriting on the show. For We Bare Bears, Mikey Heller, Sang Yup Lee and Louie Zong have been listed as writers for the nomination.
Warner Bros. Animation’s animated movie, in association with Cartoon Network – Teen Titans Go! To The Movies has also received a nomination in the “Outstanding Achievement for Writing in an Animated Feature Production” category, the nomination has been given to the show’s concept developers – Michael Jelenic and Aaron Horvath. Warner Bros. Animation’s Unikitty!, produced for Cartoon Network has received an nomination in the “Outstanding Achievement for Voice Acting in an Animated Television/Broadcast Production” category for Unikitty’s voice actress – Tara Strong. The Tom and Jerry Show has received a nomination in the “Outstanding Achievement for Music in an Animated Television/Broadcast Production” for music by Vivek Maddala. Warner Animation Group’s motion picture – Smallfoot has received a nomination for “Outstanding Achievement for Music in an Animated Feature Production” credited to Heitor Pereira, Karey Kirkpatrick and Wayne Kirkpatrick.
Cartoon Network’s young adult nightly programming block – Adult Swim has received one nomination in the “Best General Audience Animated Television/Broadcast Production” category for an animated comedy-drama series that returned to the programming block this August – The Venture Bros.
