Mega Man: Fully Charged New Show Premieres 5th August On Cartoon Network USA
Today (18th July), DHX Media, the world’s leading independent children’s programming producer has announced that the brand new animated series based on Capcom’s video game character – Mega Man called – “Mega Man: Fully Charged” will premiere on Cartoon Network USA on Sunday 5th August, with new episodes airing every Sunday, with ten initial episodes available to view from Friday 3rd August on the Cartoon Network app and VOD (video on-demand) services. In Canada, the new animated series will air on DHX’s Family Channel from this Autumn.
The new Mega Man series is co-produced with Dentsu Entertainment’s USA division and is executive produced by Man of Action Entertainment (creators of Cartoon Network’s Ben 10, Generator Rex, and the creators of the characters and team featured in Big Hero 6), Man of Action’s team consists of Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, Duncan Rouleau and Steven T. Seagle. Man of Action will also be story editors on the new series.
Ahead of the show’s premiere in the both the United States and Canada, episode trailers for the new show will be available to view on DHX Media’s YouTube-based kids’ network WildBrain starting from this Saturday (21st July), show clips and trailer previews will be released on a weekly basis on Mega Man: Fully Charged’s very own YouTube channel.
Toys and consumer products based on the new Mega Man series are set to be released from Spring 2019, with the master toy licensee – Jakks Pacific releasing action figures, figurines, playsets and accessories, role-play items, and everyday dress-up and Halloween costumes.
On this Friday (20th July) at San Diego Comic Con (San Diego Convention Centre – Room 25ABC) between 6 and 7pm, there will be a panel for the new Mega Man: Fully Charged animated series, the panel will include Capcom’s Kazuhiro Tsuchiya (video game producer: Mega Man® 11, Asura’s Wrath™), Logan McPherson (DHX Studios, VP, creative & animated production: Slugterra, The Deep, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, the series) and Man of Action Entertainment’s Joe Casey and Steven T. Seagle (executive producers and story editors: Mega Man: Fully Charged). At the panel, there will be a behind-the-scenes look at the new series.
Before the panel and between 12.30pm and 1pm, there will be an exclusive Mega Man: Fully Charged artwork signing also with Joe Casey, Steven T. Seagle and Kazuhiro Tsuchiya at Capcom’s booth (#215), fans will also have the opportunity to play the brand new Mega Man video game – Mega Man 11, which will be released for XBOX One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Switch on 2nd October. At the booth, there will be a lifesized Mega Man statue, don’t forget to take a selfie and use the hashtag #MegaManFullyCharged on social media.
