Turner Q&A With Powerpuff Girls Executive Producers Nick Jennings And Bob Boyle

Last Friday (18/03/2016), the executive producers of the 2016 reboot of The Powerpuff Girls, Nick Jennings And Bob Boyle did a Q&A with Turner’s press office. In the Q&A, it was mentioned that the reason why Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup were re-casted and why they didn’t use the original voice actors (Cathy Cavadini, Tara Strong and E. G. Daily) was “to infuse a new tone and energy” in the rebooted series. Both Nick Jennings and Bob Boyle later explained that Amanda Leighton, Natalie Palamides and Kristen Li were offering that kind of new energy to the series and their personalities matched the personalities of their respective characters.

During the Q&A it was revealed that the first season will consist of forty eleven-minute episodes and production staff are working on twelve episodes at one time with scripts and storyboards being finalised every week.
