Cartoon Network Italy To Launch Ben 10 Temporary Pop-Up Channel 22nd To 31st March
Between Friday 22nd and Sunday 31st March, Cartoon Network Italy’s one hour timeshift channel – Cartoon Network +1 (Sky Italia channel 608) will be turned into a temporary pop-up channel dedicated to Cartoon Network’s most successful animated action series – Ben 10 called the “Ben 10 Channel”. The Ben 10 channel will be filled with nothing but action-packed adventures with the boy with the Omnitrix – Ben Tennyson. Last July, Cartoon Network UK launched a similar temporary Ben 10 themed pop-up channel.
In addition to the Ben 10 Channel, Cartoon Network Italy will also be live-streaming Ben 10 episodes on their YouTube channel next weekend (Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th March). The Ben 10 Channel will also be airing new episodes from the third season of Ben 10 (2016 reboot), as well as the Italian version of the Ben 10 Challenge gameshow – “Ben 10 La Sfida” presented by Michelle Carpente. Classic episodes from previous Ben 10 series will also air on the channel.
Cartoon Network Africa To Launch Superhero HQ Pop-Up Channel On 15th March
On Friday 15th March, Cartoon Network Africa will be launching a superhero themed pop-up channel called “Superhero HQ” on Multichoice’s DStv satellite television platform (on channel 300). The channel will feature the best animated action content featuring DC Comics’ iconic superheroes including Batman, Superman, the rest of the Justice League, the Young Justice team and the Teen Titans. During evenings, families will get to enjoy a superhero movie including all four Superman movies and all three Spy Kids movies, plus animated movies including The Lego Batman Movie, Batman Gotham Knight and Justice League: Throne of Atlantis. In the channel’s name, “HQ” means headquarters, meaning it’s the “Headquarters for Superheroes”. The channel is essentially a temporary version of “Toonami” for DStv subscribers (excluding anime such as Dragon Ball Super but includes a few live-action movies), as Toonami Africa is carried on Cell-C’s Black streaming service.
South African comedian, Comic’s Choice Award and Emmy Award nominee, Mojak Lehoko, will providing a more localised African feel to the channel as well as humour, both on-air and off-air, including superhero themed comedy stand-up videos.
The channel is only a temporarily pop-up channel and will only be available until 31st March, Superhero HQ is exclusive to DStv customers who are subscribed to the following packages: Compact, Premium and Premium Plus.

Superhero HQ is an exciting new Pop-Up channel premiering on DStv, super-powered by Cartoon Network. Between 15 and 31 March, these much-loved superheroes will set up home on DStv channel 300. During the day, the kids will get to enjoy eight of their favourite animated, caped-hero series like Batman, Superman, Justice League, Green Lantern and Teen Titans. Then, in the evenings, the whole family can settle down to watch some superhero sagas such as the four Superman films, and all three Spy Kids movies. For fans of the legendary animated superhero movies, the ultimate selection has been made including The LEGO® Batman Movie, Batman Gotham Knight, and Justice League: Throne of Atlantis.
But, it’s not only superheroes that will be making their rounds in this domain; they will join forces with acclaimed South African comedian, Comic’s Choice Award and Emmy Award nominee, Mojak Lehoko, who brings some African flavour and lots of laughter to the channel, on and off air. In-between the anticipated superhero programming, Lehoko will present super-comedic stand-up videos where he identifies with the humour found in the superheroes of the channel.

Cartoon Network UK’s Ben 10 Themed Pop-Up Channel Launched Today 1st July 2018: 10 Days Of Action!
Today (1st July 2018) at 6am, Cartoon Network UK’s one-hour timeshift channel – Cartoon Network +1 has been taken over and transformed into a temporary pop-up Ben 10 channel for the first 10 days of July. The channel will air nothing but episodes from the Ben 10 action-animation alien transforming franchise including the original Ben 10 series (also known as Classic Ben 10), the newly rebooted Ben 10 series based on the original, Ben 10 Omniverse and live action gameshow – Ben 10 Challenge. The channel will revert back to Cartoon Network +1 on Wednesday 11th July at 6am.
Back in June, there was speculation that there will be a Ben 10 themed channel coming soon, after it was emerged that Cartoon Network’s owner – Turner renamed one of their existing Ofcom licences to “Ben 10”, at the time it wasn’t publicly known exactly what it could be, news of the thematic pop-up channel launching has put all speculation to rest.
