Mexico’s most famous festival dedicated to animation, video games and comics – Pixelatl has invited Ivanobich Verduzco, the creator of Cartoon Network Latin America’s Viking Tales to this year’s festival as a special guest. At last year’s festival, Cartoon Network Latin America announced that they’ve greenlit Viking Tales as a short-form animated series, in a similar manner to its other recent short-form animated success – Villainous. Also invited to this year’s festival are Alan Ituriel, the creator of Villainous and also the vice president of animation at Adult Swim – Ollie Green.

Cartoon Network Latin America is working with Mexican animation studio – Mighty Animation to produce the new animated series. Ivanobich Verduzco also won the grand prize for his Viking Tales show idea at Pixelatl 2016’s Ideatoon competition.

Viking Tales (also known by its Latin American Spanish title – Vikingos) tells the story of Reidar and his fellow Viking gang, together they traverse through the great Land of Midgard finding treasure, fighting giant monsters and have lots of fun. The new series is defined to be an action comedy.
