In this week’s episode of Cartoon Network USA’s YouTube series – Cartoon Network This Week, Sam finally receives his OK K.O.! Pow Card and makes a superheroic transformation, it seems that the deal with Ian Jones-Quartey finally paid off after all. After his transformation, Sam shares an animatic (an animated storyboard) from the OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes special – “You’re In Control” which premiered on the Cartoon Network USA TV channel last night. Also in the episode, Ian Jones-Quartey drops by to discuss what’s coming soon in OK K.O.!.
In Rupert the Seal’s segment, Rupert finds out he has his very own Pow Card and he goes on a superhero space adventure with Glendora the Space Deer.

With new Omni-Enhancements in tow, Ben looks to save a town from a sudden mudslide, but his heroics are short lived once Vilgax appears to warn our hero about the consequences of the Omnitrix’s mysterious new alien.

After discovering that Vilgax has joined forces with the Weatherheads to trick him into turning over the Omnitrix, Ben must not only overcome his doubts, but fully embrace his new powers if he is to beat his foes.
During a trip, Ben and Gwen squabble, but when Max hears of a rockslide nearby, the cousins must put aside their differences to rescue the trapped miners and uncover who is behind the catastrophe: the Bugg Brothers.
Left to entertain himself, Ben stumbles upon a Xingo arcade game and goes OE-Shock Rock to power it up, but when it receives too much juice, Xingo leaps out into the real world and our hero must go toe-to-toe with his favorite character.
While Gwen listens to a lecture on the Transcontinental Railroad, Ben sneaks away to the gift shop. But once the Bounty Hunters appear and corner our hero, Gwen must relay the information she learned on the train to help Ben escape.
Cartoon Network USA Cartoon Network This Week Episode 6 With OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes Creator Ian Jones-Quartey
For this week’s episode of Cartoon Network USA’s news show on YouTube – Cartoon Network This Week, Sam chats with OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes show creator – Ian Jones-Quartey. Both Ian and Sam talk about the the brand new OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes mobile Game – Dynamite’s Action News and how the game was initially developed at Cartoon Network’s Game Jam event in Portland, Oregon in 2016. A Game Jam is a get-together of groups of game developers who aim to make a game prototype within a short period length of time, in this case 48 hours, each team were given a different OK K.O! character POW Card, it was the team’s objective to make a game based around the character. Wake Robin Games won the competition and developed Dynamite Action News based around Dynamite Watkins, a news reporter in the show.
In addition to this week’s episode, Cartoon Network USA has uploaded a behind-the-scenes video about the OK K.O.! Game Jam:
In April, Cartoon Network USA will be airing a new half-hour special of OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes called “You’re In Control”, in the special, K.O. attempts to control his dark-side alter ego – T.K.O. (Turbo K.O.), meanwhile the plaza’s arch-nemesis – Lord Boxman has something big planned. This week’s episode also featured an exclusive animatic from the special. On the CN Sayin’ app, kids recorded their best Rad impressions, Ian Jones-Quartey also voices Rad in the show. Rupert The Seal celebrated St. Patrick’s Day by kissing the Blarney Stone and shares viewers his montage of Cartoon Network’s green-coloured characters and leprechauns.
