Cartoon Network Wins Three 2016 Childrens BAFTA Awards
Last night (20/11/2016) at the Roundhouse Theatre in London was the 2016 Children’s BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) awards and Cartoon Network’s The Amazing World of Gumball won two awards; one for best British animated show and one for best children’s television show writing! Congratulations to Ben Bocquelet and to all of the production team that work on the show, including animators, writers, producers and voice actors. Cartoon Network UK lost out to CBeebies for best UK children’s channel, but congratulations for being nominated anyway.
We Bare Bears also won the award for best international children’s show, congratulations to Daniel Chong and his team at Cartoon Network Studios in Burbank, California. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s Lego Dimensions won the award for best children’s video game and the special award was awarded to Peter Western known for his animation work on Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Warner Bros’s Space Jam and The Snowman and The Snowdog.
Congratulations to everyone who won a BAFTA award last night and to anyone who was nominated at this year’s Children’s BAFTA awards!
