On Monday 11th March, Cartoon Network Games will be launching a brand new gaming experience for Cartoon Network fans in the United States, a new mobile app called “Cartoon Network Arcade”. As the name of the app suggests, the app will offer arcade style quick-play games and will feature the largest library of games based on Cartoon Network’s extensive universe of animated shows ever produced. The app will be available to download for iOS and Android devices on the iTunes App Store and Google Play respectfully.

Fans playing on the app can collect over 60 digital characters, plus even more coming soon. Lego has already signed up as an app launch sponsor, on the app, Lego will be promoting their Lego Ninjago and Lego City product ranges, Lego will also award fans with an exclusive figure to help start building their collection.

In addition to general gameplay, the Cartoon Network Arcade app also enhances the viewing experience when watching Cartoon Network’s shows, just by watching, fans will be able to grow a collection of digital figures including characters from Adventure Time, Teen Titans Go! and also the upcoming animated series – Victor and Valentino. The app utilises ACR (automatic content recognition) technology so it recognises the show and episode currently being played.

In the future, Cartoon Network Arcade will provide opportunities for fans to take part in special activities based around different shows, unique figure collection on-air events and even vote for which games or figures they want to see next. The app is considered to be the best place to discover all things Cartoon Network and for the channel to connect with its fans. Cartoon Network UK now has a sneak peek of the brand new video game based on The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part now in cinemas across the UK, Cartoon Network UK has sent YouTube Let’s Player Fruity to interview the game’s director – Jamie Eden. The new game is made by TT Games, a UK-based video games company owned by Warner Bros., a sister company of Cartoon Network. The video game will be released on Tuesday 26th February for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and on 26th March for Nintendo Switch, a PC version of the game will be released soon.

The game allows players to relive the movie though an interactive experience and features character customisation and lot of collectables across all levels, including Master Pieces that unlock new planets, relics that can be traded in for unlockable characters and Lego sets and also a sandbox mode where players can build their own Lego creations. Explorable worlds include an apocalyptic wasteland, an asteroid field with a secret base, an alien jungle and many more. The game will involve building Lego models and solving puzzles.

Lego Ideas, the website where people can submit their own Lego construction toy creations for a chance for them to become official Lego sets has approved a Lego Flintstones playset featuring the famous animated stone-age family. The new playset includes Fred Flintstone’s car (as featured in the playset’s teaser trailer), the Flintstone’s Bedrock family home and a Welcome to Bedrock sign, plus minifigures of Fred, Wilma, Barney, Betty, Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm. The idea for the LEGO Flintstones playset was submitted by Lego enthusiast Andrew Clark and was approved last October, with permission from Hanna-Barbera’s owners – Warner Bros., the Lego set will be available to purchase very soon.
