Boomerang USA Free Preview On Dish Until 25th August

Great news for Dish subscribers in the United States, the Boomerang television channel is free for all customers until Tuesday 25th August. This is a great opportunity for animation fans to watch the latest animated shows from Warner Bros. Animation for free including Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz and Wacky Races and also classic Cartoon Network originals such as The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends and Dexter’s Laboratory, plus re-airings of Steven Universe and Adventure Time.

Other channels that will be free to view until 25th August include Discovery Family (including Spanish version – Discovery Familia), Nick Jr., Nickelodeon, NickToons and TeenNick.

Cartoon Network App Now Supports Apple TV’s TV App

Cartoon Network USA’s Creative Arts Emmy award-winning video on-demand app has added support for Apple TV’s TV app. From Cartoon Network App version 3.5.5, Cartoon Network viewers can now use the Apple TV app to enjoy Cartoon Network shows at their convenience and take advantage of the TV app’s universal search, playlist and recommendations features. By using Siri (Apple’s intelligent personal assistant), users can find and watch the latest new episodes and even request to continue watching an episode.

The app update also includes support for single sign-on for pay-TV provider (Dish, DIRECTV, Comcast etc.) authentication, Apple stores the user’s TV provider login details and authenticates with all of their apps across multiple devices.

The Cartoon Network app lets fans stream their favourite hit shows, including Adventure Time, Steven Universe, The Powerpuff Girls, We Bare Bears, Mighty Magiswords and more, and allows them to watch the latest full episodes, exclusive “See It First” premieres, hilarious clips and other original content.

Cartoon Network USA & Adult Swim To Be Added to Dish Network’s New Sling Internet TV Service

Dish Network is currently in the process of setting up an internet TV streaming service as a cheaper alternative for those who only want a selection of the best channels, including Cartoon Network USA and Adult Swim. The new internet TV service is called Sling, a launch date hasn’t been announced yet, but a date will be announced in the coming weeks. The new internet streaming service will be accessible on an array of devices including game consoles, Roku media streamers, PCs, Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, and iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. The new service is named after the Slingbox, a internet streaming device used to watch your cable or satellite TV at home from anywhere around the world.

Other Turner Broadcasting System channels available on the service will include TNT, CNN and TBS, other companies that have signed up include Disney and Scripps Networks.
