Steven Universe Nominated For A Children’s And Youth Peabody Award
Today (9th April), the nominations list for the 78th Annual Peabody Awards were released, and Cartoon Network Studios’ Steven Universe has been nominated in the “Children’s and Youth” category. A total of sixty nominees were chosen across all media, including entertainment and news.
In the same category, Steven Universe will compete against Netflix’s and Silvergate Media’s critically-acclaimed animated series Hilda. In addition to CN’s nomination for Steven Universe, WarnerMedia’s news channel CNN International has received an nomination for Nima Elbagir’s Human Rights reporting.
The Peabody Awards recognizes distinguished and meritorious content by American radio and television stations, networks, online media, producing organisations, and individuals, only content of such an extraordinary high standard can win such an award.
