Rohit Khetarpal becomes Director of Network and Content Distribution for Turner South Asia

Rohit Khetarpal has been promoted to Director of Network and Content Distribution for South Asia. He had joined Turner’s Network and Content Distribution team in 2008 and has managed the distribution of Turner’s portfolio of channels in India including channels such as Cartoon Network, Pogo, Toonami, HBO and WB. Siddharth Jain, Turner’s Senior Vice-President and Managing Director for South Asia made this statement: “With his proven track record in growing our linear distribution vertical in India, I am confident that Rohit will take this varied and business-critical portfolio to its next level of success in the South Asia region.”

Anthony Lukom leaves Turner as UK General Manager, Northern Europe manager Ian McDonough takes on responsibilities

Turner UK general manager Anthony Lukom has left the company last month, handing his responsibilities over to Northern Europe managing director Ian McDonough. With no direct replacement, Mr McDonough will now take charge of Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Cartoonito, TCM and TruTV UK & Ireland as general manager. A Turner spokesperson said: “Anthony left us with the UK business in very good shape. The portfolio of channels under his leadership is enjoying great ratings and is poised for continued growth.”

Otra Semana en Cartoon/Outra Semana no Cartoon Miniseries

Cartoon Network Latin America and Cartoon Network Brazil has created a miniseries called Otra Semana en Cartoon (Spanish)/Outra Semana no Cartoon (Portuguese) (Another Week In Cartoon in English), it’s about cartoon characters day to day life formatted like a documentary. The videos are accessible on the Cartoon Network Latin America and Cartoon Network Brazil YouTube channel.

There’s a domineering frog who wants to control everything, a kind but clinging sheep, a tinkering stick bug who wishes to put his kooky genius at the service of the community, and an idealistic and exuberant bat!

During the Half Term week, Cartoonito will be running handpicked back-to-back episodes of our favourite firefighter’s adventures, Fireman Sam. Every town has a hero, and in the friendly town of Pontypandy that hero is Sam. Whatever the problem, be it a lost kite or cat, stranded sledgers or kitchen fires, he and his trusted team are always on hand to save the day.

Fireman Sam Special: The Return Of Norman-Man

Norman Price is a 7-year-old boy with a love of practical jokes and skateboarding. Norman usually fails to set appropriate limits on his own behavior, and has been known to cause mischief and sometimes causes havoc at the fire station and for many of Pontypandy’s residents. But there are moments when he isn’t the one in trouble and even helps save the day, and that’s exactly what he does in this new CGI special, Fireman Sam Special: The Return of Norman-Man.
