Cartoon Network UK Produces Marine Pollution Educational Animated Short “A Whale’s Tale” For The Hope Works Project
Cartoon Network UK has produced an animated short for The Hope Works Project for the purpose of educating children on the effects of marine pollution called – “A Whale Tale”, and is a described by the Hope Works Project as an animation that that uplifts and delights whilst educating children about the harmful effects of marine pollution. The Hope Works Project works with the biggest broadcasters on earth and Unicef (the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund). The Hope Works project aims to reawaken a generation’s hope through 12 films and resources. Other Hope Works Project broadcasting partners include Disney EMEA, DreamWorks Animation, Sesame Workshop, KiKa (Germany), CBC (Canada), Hop! (Israel), VRT Ketnet (Belgium) and ABC (Australia).
In “A Whale’s Tale”, a whale under the sea tries to help smaller creatures who are struggling with plastic waste. On land, a young boy seeks help to clear the sea in his area, but neither the boy or the whale can succeed on their own. The animated short along with the other eleven shorts will be simultaneously released on Hope Works Project broadcaster partners’ TV channels and also on the Hope Works YouTube channel on World Children’s Day which will be held on Tuesday 20th November.
