Cartoon Network UK Unikitty New Show Coming In March: Coming Soon To The Uni(ted) Kingdom!

Cartoon Network UK and Ireland has started airing a coming soon promo for a brand new show called Unikitty!, the new show will premiere in March. Unikitty is a much-loved and well-known character from The Lego Movie, she’s known for her optimism and joyfulness but also has a tendency to get really enranged. Unlike The Lego Movie which was made in 3D CGI (also with real Lego for a more realistic appearance) and like most Cartoon Network shows, Unikitty is animated in 2D.

In the new show, Unikitty is the ruler of her kingdom – the Unikingdom and she has a lot of royal responsibilities to carry out, her job is to make sure everyone is cheerful and to obliterate any form of negativity from her kingdom by spreading her positive attitude. Other characters in the brand new show include her little brother and best friend – Puppycorn, Dr. Fox, the castle’s resident scientist, and Unikitty’s bodyguard – Hawkodile. Together, Unikitty and her friends do their very best to make sure that every day is the happiest ever, no matter how creative and constructive or hilariously chaotic and destructive.

The show’s voice acting talent include Tara Strong (Teen Titans Go!), Grey Griffin (Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!), Kate Micucci (Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!), Roger Craig Smith (Regular Show), Eric Bauza (The Adventures of Puss in Boots) and H. Michael Croner (Review).

Unikitty! is produced by the same people behind The Lego Movie and The Lego Batman Movie (Dan Lin, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Roy Lee and Jill Wilfert), with Warner Bros. Animation president – Sam Register as Executive Producer. Aaron Horvath (Teen Titans Go!) is supervising producer on Unikitty and Edward Skudder (Dick Figures) and Lynn Wang (from Disney’s Star vs. Forces of Evil) serve as producers on the show. The new animated series marks the continuation of the long-running partnership between Cartoon Network/Warner Bros. and Lego, with recent shows such as Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu, Mixels and Nexo Knights airing on Cartoon Network UK.
