The Amazing World Of Gumball Wins Emile Award For Best TV Writing
Last night (08/12/2017), was the inaugural European Animation Awards ceremony (also referred to the Emile Awards) in Lille, France and Cartoon Network EMEA’s (Europe, Middle East and Africa) The Amazing World of Gumball has won an award in the “Best Writing in a TV/Broadcast Production” category. The Amazing World of Gumball was also nominated in the “Character Animation in a TV/Broadcast Production” and “Best TV/Broadcast Production” but lost out to Revolting Rhymes. Gumball was also nominated in the “Best Storyboard in a TV/Broadcast Production” category but lost to Shawn The Sheep.
Although this year was the first ever Emile Awards, there was some tough competition, congratulations to Ben Bocquelet and the Gumball writing team for winning the Best TV Writing (for an European produced animated show) award and for achieving a total of four nominations.

Last Friday (1st December), the show’s creator – Ben Bocquelet has announced that he’s finished writing the script for the final episode of The Amazing World of Gumball, although the script-writing for the show has finished, it still be quite some time before the series ends on television.
