Infinity Train New Cartoon Network Studios Pilot

Cartoon Network USA has uploaded another new animated pilot today (02/11/2016) onto YouTube called Infinity Train. In Infinity Train, the main protagonist, Tulip, must learn to set her personal interests aside to make her way through a mysterious train and help the king of all corgis save his people. Tulip is aided and accompanied by her robot friend – One-One. Infinity Train as the name implies is a train that goes on forever and each carriage has different world or/and theme, if this show is greenlit there’s a lot of potential for story ideas.

Judging from the short, it’s similar to the Adventure Time episode “Dungeon Train” but with the randomness and surrealness of Regular Show and has an Over The Garden Wall feel too as the main character is trapped in a strange environment.

Infinity Train is created, written and storyboarded by Regular Show’s Owen Dennis, with Over The Garden Wall’s Nick Cross working as Art Director. According to YouTube comments on the pilot’s video so far, viewers reception has been positive, but ultimately it’s Cartoon Network’s decision whether they wish to greenlight the show (same with Victor & Valentino), either as a short-form series on the Cartoon Network Anything app or as an animated series.

  1. I thought the first episode (minisode) was awesome and i would be very dissapointed if it didnt continue. Cartoon network please help make this a full tv series on your channel!

          • Eh, I don’t really consider that “stealing” so much as “taking inspiration from.” The difference is that they’re using a similar starting point for the concept, but they’re doing their own thing with it and not just trying to ride on the coattails of the other thing’s popularity. Compare with something like Ratatoing, a movie which was created for the sole purpose of making money off of people who don’t realize it’s not the more-popular Pixar movie Ratatouille.

          • I never said they were stealing, and I wholeheartedly agree, I’m excited to see what they do with the concept

          • That was a response to this:

I felt like this concept was stolen…

Oh, wait, you’re… um, not that person. Sorry! I don’t know why I acted like you said it! But it was 7 months ago and I don’t remember now, so yeah, let’s just be excited about this.

  2. It is amazing. The mere difference towards other pop cartoons, a femal, mature and intelligent protagonist and such calm and cleve rhumor, reflect the show`s potential… Am I the only one or does it have some kind of Doctor Who falovour, a show I also really love! The scy-fi-ish music, intriguing content and perfectly written and executed jokes :DDD love it! Mostely the part with de door nob )
