Corus Expands Cartoon Network Canada Licensing Now Includes Merchandising
Corus Entertainment – the broadcast brand licence holder and operator of Cartoon Network Canada, have announced today (16/06/2016) that they have extended their partnership with Turner in a new multi-year broadcast deal. Also as part of the new deal, Corus’s children’s animation and live-action division – Nelvana, will act as the exclusive merchandising agent for Cartoon Network’s brands in Canada, which includes popular animated properties such as The Powerpuff Girls, Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Ben 10 and more. As merchandising agent, Nelvana is now able to make Cartoon Network branded product deals with other companies, this can range from anything from toys to food and drink to electronic equipment.
Nelvana will promote their new acquired Cartoon Network brands as licencing agent for Canada at Licensing Expo 2016 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas on Tuesday 21st June to Thursday 23rd June.

Among the newest consumer products programs launching this fall in Canada is an assortment of The Powerpuff Girls toys from master toy licensee Spin Master.
