Cartoon Network And Boomerang At Africa’s DStv Content Showcase
Multichoice, the company that owns and operates DStv, a pay-tv satellite TV provider in Africa has hosted a Content Showcase event called “#OnlyTheBest” in Mauritius. At the content showcase there was a section called “Turner Fun Factory” to promote Turner Broadcasting System’s kids channels, Cartoon Network and Boomerang. At the Turner Fun Factory, media news journalists could spend time with Mr. Bean, Ben 10, the We Bare Bears and Finn and Jake while having a cocktail such as a Ben10 Macho Mojito, The Mean Bean Pimm’s Machine, the Triple Stack Bare Bears Pact and the OOO-lala Princess Bubblegum Cosmopolitan. The purpose of the event is to inform journalists so they can get the word out about Cartoon Network’s and Boomerang’s upcoming shows and new episodes on DStv.
UPDATE: According to the blog, TV with Thinus and entertainment website channel24, Turner will likely launch a temporary “Pop-up” kids channel in Africa during the Christmas period on DStv.
