Boomerang 100% Dutch Feed for the Netherlands To Launch In Early 2015

Boomerang Rebrand

According to both and, Turner Broadcasting System Europe will launch Boomerang Netherlands and Flanders in early 2015, this will mean a fully localised feed in the Dutch language and no more dependency on the Boomerang Africa and Middle East pan feed. An exact launch date hasn’t been released yet. The other Boomerang variants in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region are also due to re-brand early next year and will target the parent and child co-viewing demographic with a mixture of classic cartoons and contemporary imports.

Thanks to Red Arrow from the ToonZone forums for the information.

02/02/2015 EDIT: It now has been revealed that the articles used in this blog post are actually referring to a 100% Dutch audio feed and not actually a separate version of Boomerang, this is only due to a lack of clarity of the news articles in question. To my perception, a “full Dutch feed” as mentioned in the articles refers to both text and audio in the Dutch language.

Also since writing this article, the Netherlands and Flanders no longer have Boomerang Middle East and Africa but rather Boomerang Central and Eastern Europe and have done so since November 2014.

Sorry for any inconvenience, but at least the channel is now available with a complete Dutch soundtrack as of today and there’s always the prospect of a feed split.

  1. Boomerang Argentina should be launched this year. But I guess instead of another Latino Boomerang, Turner could launch a Brazilian feed for Tooncast. We need it.
